Built in 1930 and restored to its original Art Deco style in 2006, the Hotel Borg combines old-time elegance with contemporary chic and is one of the most stylish places to stay in the capital. Overlooking a pretty square and across from the Houses of Parliament, the hotel conveniently sits in the heart of the city. The beautifully renovated rooms are so inviting and are all designed with guest comfort in mind. A stunning gourmet restaurant, a lovely breakfast room where there is a fantastic spread to start the day and a cosy bar add the finishing touches to this highly recommended hotel, which is one of our favourites.
The hotel has 7 suites available at a supplement. Suites are much larger than the standard rooms and have a separate living area and bedroom. Bang and Olufsen TV's come as standard and the bathrooms have both bath and shower.
The bar offers a relaxed setting, perfect for the pre-dinner cocktails. Open throughout the day until late. The Icelandic bar is a traditional bar which is as popular with locals as it is hotel guests. Everything from coffee and cake to a full meal is served here and guests can choose from one of the many Icelandic beers on offer.
Breakfast is served in a separate room but is as equally stylish as the restaurant, a great buffet breakfast is available at the start of the day.
The hotel has a number of small business and conference rooms available for meetings or private functions. A private fax machine is also available.

The hotel has a lift and easy access. The surrounding area is flat. There have been no specific modifications made to rooms within the hotel. Some standard rooms have shower only, however there is a small step into the shower. Please contact our Reservations dept for more details.

"Laugavegur" shopping district, restaurants, bars, Parliament house, Reykjavik Cathedral and most city centre museums.
The airport transfer bus "Fly bus+" operates a direct service from the airport and stops off at hotels in Reykjavik. Journey time 45mins c. 1,150 ISK. A direct taxi transfer is around 30mins c. 10,000 ISK.
The Silfur restaurant offers beautiful, contemporary surroundings and serves French and Icelandic cuisine from an award winning chef. It's considered one of the in places to go in the city and so it's recommended to book in advance.
A taxi pick up point is situated just a short walk from the hotel or these can easily be ordered from reception. The closest bus stop is just under 100m away.
