The NH Caransa is located in the centre of Amsterdam city, in the Rembradt Square. This square is the heart of the night life of the city. Also the hotel is located close to the comercial centre, the flower market and other places of interest in the city, such as the home of Anne Frank, only a 15 minute walk to the Dam square and the home of Anne Frank. The Van Gough Museum and the Heineken Beer Brewery is situated approximately 15 minutes away, and also the RAI Congress Centre. The Central Train Station is only 10 minutes away by tram as is the RAI Congress Centre. The Central Train station is only 10 minutes by tram.

From 7am you can enjoy our magnificent breakfasts in the garden, weather permiting. Lunch and dinner can be enjoyed in the Brasserie Schiller on the other side of the square. The hotel offers 4 meeting rooms with a maximum capacity of 120 people.
The NH Caransa has a transport service which runs between the hotel and Schiphol Airport at an aditional charge. Also right in front of the hotel there are various tram stops which can take you to the central station in 10 minutes.
In the reception of the hotel there are newspapers and information about boat trips, city guides and the shopping centres.
The rooms are medium-sized and were renovated in 2006 to an extremely high standard. They thus offer some of the nicest accommodation in Amsterdam. The colour scheme is earthy with dark wood furniture, brown walls and carpet and lime green chairs, all in very good condition. The bathrooms have also recently been renovated and feature dark grey slate tiles, or blue floor tiles, with large, white and square modern sinks and silver trimming, including new hairdryers. All are in very good condition.
The spacious rooms were given a total face lift in 2006 and all now have a fresh, modern look
Brasserie Schiller
NH Caransa offers a breakfast buffet on the first floor of the hotel. The breakfast room overlooks the Rembrandt Square and has a private terraces for sunny days. For lunch and dinner we recommend 'Brasserie Schiller' at our hotel NH Schiller, just across the square. Brasserie Schiller is a beautiful historic art deco restaurant with a magnificent views of the lively Rembrandt Square.
Our cuisine
The Brasserie Schiller restaurant offers the best typical Dutch dishes in a classic atmosphere, in the presence of 450 masterpieces by Friedrich Schiller and the wonderful stained-glass windows. It is also possible to organise informal receptions.
