A stunning hotel where old meets new perfectly. Perched on the banks of the River Leie, this is the only hotel in Ghent that can be reached by boat. Ghent River is a hotel steeped in history. Consisting of two buildings, a Renaissancehouse dating back to 1518 and a rice mill built on a burnt down sugar refinery dating back to 1857, a warehouse from 1879, a cotton spinning mill from 1873 and a bakery from 1857. The historic spleandour is evident throughout the hotelwith original features in many rooms to give that unique feel. From the hotel you are within moments of the famous "Vrijdagsmarkt" and a wealth of beer cafes and restaurants. The hotel even has a medieval banqueting hall, which isperfect for private functions and parties.

If you are arriving into Gare Du Midi (Eurostar Terminal) you can use the same ticket (at no extra charge)providing the ticket is being used straight away as part of your onward travel. This is a money saving option and worth utilising. If you are driving with a hire car from Brussels or Bruges, you need to take the motorway E40 and follwsigns for Gent.
